Adaptern som är tillverkad i pulverlackerat stål fungerar även som en säkerhetsanordning som är designad att släppa fundamentet efter det att laddstolpen utsatts för en viss kraft i sidled. På så sätt kan i många fall dyra ominstallationer till följd av skadade fundament efter påkörning av laddstolpen undvikas.
